Then & Now: The Bell Inn

Updated: Mar 26, 2020

Feast your eyes on the peaceful, rural idyll that was Tile Hill village back in 1904! The Bell Inn appears on maps in the 19th Century, when it was known as the Bell-in-the-Tree. Indeed, its history goes back much further than that, as it is said that a coaching inn stood on the site in the 18th Century. I'm not sure if this is the same building or whether it has been re-built in the 20th Century. What do you think? If you know, please let us know.

Please get in touch with your comments, questions and suggestions. If you have old photos of the area or stories you would like to share, we would be delighted to hear from you.
